Supporting the groups of teachers in identifying and sharing their collective professional wisdom of best practices is not a new idea. Professional development as such derives its impetus and energy from the participants and offer a valuable sense of initiative and control over the own learning of the teachers. As Director-HRDC, I feel it a proud privileged to eloquent that HRDC, Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology, Hisar is a pioneer institution in stepping at every footstep that fills life with an unparalleled vision and new possibilities for those who are continuously engaged in learning and teaching endeavours. To achieve this aim, we offer a number of high quality programmes for faculty, research scholars and non-academic staff in the form of orientation programmes, refresher courses, summer/winter schools, workshops and professional development programmes. Our sincere efforts towards constantly transforming ourselves into a progressive elaboration that has the capacity to re-visit its learning framework; revitalizing the elements of high-performance work practices; and our endeavours to humanize our classrooms remains at our hearts for the participants in HRDC.
